1 The proof of the last proposition is universal; and 2 whether a thing be considered as a part or a whole, the idea 3 thereof, whether of the whole or of a part (by the last Prop.), 4 will involve God's eternal and infinite essence. Wherefore, 5 that, which gives knowledge of the eternal and infinite essence 6 of God, is common to all, and is equally in the part and in the 7 whole; therefore (II. xxxviii.) this knowledge will be adequate. 8 Q.E.D. 9 10
